‘FRANKLY MARILYN’ IN THE UK


Attention Marilyn fans in the UK, another Marilyn Monroe themed stage show is coming to the UK for one night only on July 20th 2018.  “Frankly Marilyn” is a salute to Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe.  Taken from the website:

Together they celebrate the careers of two of the greatest icons of The 20th Century. MARILYN’S BIRTHDAY FLOWERS

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Because of your generosity, we were able to raise OVER $1000 for Marilyn’s birthday fundraiser! Thank you to EVERYONE who donated money for Marilyn’s birthday flowers on behalf of Marilyn Remembered. This beautiful spray is from Parisian Florist, the same company Joe DiMaggio used to have roses delivered to Marilyn’s grave every week for over 20 years. Below is a snapshot of our birthday card for Marilyn, listing everyone who contributed money for this cause.
Extra proceeds from our fundraiser for flowers for Marilyn will be used to buy toys this Christmas for at-risk youth currently participating in programs at Camp Hollygrove/Uplift Family Services. Kathleen, our contact at Hollygrove, has let us know that the toys Hollygrove provides to their students are often the only toys the children will receive at Christmas. Your contributions truly matter. We will follow-up with everyone as we draw closer to the holiday season when we’ll be buying toys for Hollygrove’s children.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARILYN

June 1st 1926 a legend was born.

June 1st 2018 would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 92nd birthday, it is hard to imagine what Marilyn would look like at 92, or indeed how her life and career would have progressed as the years went on.  We will never know, we can only speculate.  What is unquestionable though however, is the love and devotion her legions of fans around the world still have for her to this very day.  To them and us, she will always be Marilyn, young and beautiful and frozen in time at 36.  An inspiration to millions.

“GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES” AT THE EGYPTIAN

Southern California friends–“Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” is coming to the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in June. Before the movie starts, there will be a lecture about 1950s costumes and fashion. This will also be fun because Norma Jeane used to come to this theatre as a little girl!
