MONROE IS BREAKING RECORDS AGAIN!

Marilyn Monroe’s 1961 Golden Globe Award has been sold for a record-breaking $250,000 (£195,000) in California.  The award statue for World Film Favourite Female from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association made history as the highest selling Golden Globe sold at an auction.

Marilyn also holds the record the most expensive item of clothing ever to be sold at auction when the ‘Happy Birthday Mr President’ dress sold in 2016 for a whopping $4.8 millon (£3.9 million.)

‘Marilyn Remembered’ Fan club’s very own Jackie Craig went to the preview of the auction and had the incredible oppertunity to physically hold this record breaking treasure!

MARILYN MONROE JEWISH PRAYER BOOK SOLD


A Jewish prayer book, treasured by Marilyn Monroe, was sold at auction in New York on Monday 12th November 2018 for a staggering $21,000.
Monroe converted to Judaism in 1956 prior to marrying Jewish-American playwright Arthur Miller.  The prayer book, a cream-colored edition of The Form of Daily Prayers: According to the Custom of the German and Polish Jews, was published in 1922.

MARILYN’S THUNDERBIRD UP FOR AUCTION

A Ford Thunderbird once owned by Marilyn Monroe is expected to fetch up to $500,000 (£379,000) when it comes under the hammer in November.

The black soft-top with whitewall tyres was bought on December 20, 1955, by the star’s company, Marilyn Monroe Productions. It is believed that it was a Christmas present from Milton Greene, her business partner and photographer……
