The Marilyn Remembered Fan Club is currently planning and coordinating several events to celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday. Below is our preliminary schedule, which will be updated as details are confirmed. Please check back often for the latest updates.

The Avalon, formerly the Beverly Carlton Hotel, was one of Marilyn’s residences in the early 1950s and the setting for many well known photographs of her. It makes a wonderful place to stay while celebrating Marilyn’s centennial.
Special room rates (plus tax and fees):
- Classic King in Beverly — $209++ per night
- Deluxe King Balcony — $229++ per night (6 rooms available)
- Junior Suite Balcony — $299++ per night (6 rooms available)
Because this is a limited room block, availability will be first come, first served. To reserve a room email Maria at abh.sales@avalonbeverlyhills.com. These room rates are available throughout the week of festivities.

- 6:00 PM: Marilyn Monroe Birthday Week Closing Gathering at Bar Next Door
As Marilyn Monroe Birthday Week comes to a close, we invite you to join us for one final evening together at Bar Next Door.
Beginning at 6:00 PM, guests are welcome to stop by, mingle, and say goodbye to friends old and new after a week of celebration, conversation, and shared appreciation. Before heading in, you can grab a slice from Prince Street Pizza right next door, then make your way to the bar to choose your favorite cocktail from a special menu of Marilyn-inspired drinks.
This gathering also takes place in a location with a meaningful connection to Marilyn’s early career. The bar is situated in the same commercial building that once housed the Cukor-Lipton Agency, one of Marilyn’s very early representation agencies, located at 9157 Sunset Boulevard. Today, Bar Next Door occupies 9159 Sunset Boulevard, just steps from where important chapters of her professional journey began.
There is no formal program. This is simply an opportunity to relax, connect, and close out the week in good company. We look forward to seeing you there.
- 7:00 PM: Classic Cinema Night at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The film will be Some Like It Hot. For more, click here.
